Fellow Maldonians,
I hope you all had a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
Earlier this month, the House and Senate completed and passed their respective budgets, which are now in conference committee where members of the House and Senate will reconcile the two before the final budget is sent to the Governor's desk for his signature. I was proud to support this budget, which increased funding for housing assistance, addiction treatment and food security, while protecting reproductive freedom and maintaining crucial investments in education.
Over the past month, we've also won a number of grants to help move Malden forward, from funding our schools, to providing mental health de-escalation training to our police officers.
Follow the link below and keep reading to learn more about the budget passed in the House, what we've done this month and what's coming up this month. We've also included a number of helpful resources for you and your family as we continue to cope with the ongoing pandemic.
