Dear Friends,
I hope you and your loved ones are enjoying the recent fall weather and apple-picking season! As mentioned in my last newsletter, I will be highlighting some achievements we have made in the final FY23 State Budget. Thank you for all your support and I look forward to continue serving the great city and people of Malden!
On July 28, Governor Baker signed Fiscal Year 2023 (FY23) budget, allocating $52.7 billion to provide resources and supports to our communities, families, businesses, and workers. The budget fully funds the continued implementation of the Student Opportunity Act, while expanding existing programs and making record investments in early education and childcare, housing and homeownership, college financial aid, economic and workforce development, behavioral health care, and local aid.
I am confident that this comprehensive spending plan will help Malden and communities across the Commonwealth to address immediate needs in a post-pandemic world and make sustainable long-term investments to help our economy recover.
Read the full newsletter here to learn more about the latest progress in the House, as well as a number of helpful resources for you and your family as we continue to cope with the ongoing pandemic.
Sincerely,
Representative Steven Ultrino
